About Us

The Arkansas-based band founded by Rockey Jones and Christian Dean along with drummer Mike Martin and bassist Damon Shores have been blazing new music trails across the state of Arkansas, as well as, the entire mid south region, growing their fan base at a rapid rate with their unique blend of southern rock style, country melodies, blue collar message and tight harmony.

The band was signed to Render Records in April of 2013. Their first single Release “Back In The Day” and the bands self recorded 2009 album ‘Chapter 1′, released by Render Records, were both selected to be featured by iTunes on the main page of the iTunes store as well as the front pages for both the Country and Rock genres. The bands debut single “Back In The Day” was released to country radio in June of 2013 and was the most added song at reporting country radio for two straight weeks upon it’s release,  a four full weeks before going for adds at country radio on July 8th.

DOWNDAY just finished filming the music videos for “Back In The Day” and “Tonight I’m Drinking”. Both videos are being serviced by Render Records to CMT, GAC, MTV, VH1, The Country Network, FUSE and other music video outlets worldwide.

The Summer and Fall of 2013 are full of concert dates and radio tour dates. The band has scheduled performances in Arkansas, Missouri, Florida, Tennessee, Texas and Louisiana thru the end of the year.

In 2014, DOWNDAY will embark on the Grip It Rip It & Rock It Tour 2014 sponsored by the GIASI Beverage company and the Original John Daly Cocktail, where the band will be representing PGA Golfer and 2 Time Major Champion John Daly’s new beverage at concert locations all over the United States. Many concert events will feature John Daly on site for signings and special event meet and greets with DOWNDAY.

DOWNDAY is currently in the studio with platinum selling producer Steve Freeman writing and recording their debut album for Render Records, which has a scheduled street date of Tuesday October 8, 2013.
